So- it’s your Senior year!! I say let’s go all out for your session!  Seniors are such fun to work with because you are always so excited and ready to try anything!  Here are a few details to think about when planning your session!

My Approach

I don’t do the old style Senior portraits with lighting and back drops… I prefer to work outdoors and to think of you more as a model for a fashion photography shoot!   So… that means raid the closet, pick out your favorite clothes, accessories, and shoes (you too, guys) and bring it all!  We can sort through together or you can just wear your favorites.

Location, Location, Location!!

Of course, if you have a location in mind, let’s do it!!   I really try very hard to find new places for each of my seniors each year so that every session I do looks different.  Let’s chat about it beforehand and create a plan that will be unique to you!

Sports & Activities

If you have participated in a sport or activity… feel free to bring something representative of that activity (i.e. your Letterman jacket, a tennis racket, or a your favorite guitar) and we’ll incorporate it in some artsy and fun way!

Hair & Make up

Hair and make-up are up to you!  To the girls I say do it up a little extra glam,  but it’s really all about your personal style.  A little extra make up is always a plus for photos.  Be sure to bring a brush and some extra lipstick or lip gloss to your session too!  If you would like a referral for a professional in your area, please let me know!

Invitations & Announcements

Everyone always wants to know if I create invitations/announcements to go along with your session package.  Yes, I do, but I tend to stay so busy with photography alone that I normally will recommend you check out Merely Madison Designs.   I recommend Madison highly… she does a fabulous job creating custom work for my clients, her prices are excellent, and the quality of her product is superior!!  Please do let her know that I sent you over!
